About Eight North
Eight North captures the spirit of Calistoga through Executive Chef Abby Burk’s bold, wood-fired menu and a deep dedication to Up Valley producers. Diners can expect refined yet approachable dishes like oak-grilled octopus and fresh Alaskan seafood, all designed to pair perfectly with a curated local wine list. The space is anchored by a stunning antique mahogany bar and features immersive digital screens that bring the surrounding vineyards into the dining room. It is a true community hub where regional ingredients and world-class winemaking converge in the heart of downtown.

"I really wanted to love everything here, but the food fell a bit short for me. The duck fat potatoes, which I was most excited to try, were underwhelming and lacked the rich flavor I was expecting — they tasted fine, just not very seasoned or memorable. Overall, the dishes were okay, but not the standout quality I anticipated for the price point. On the positive side, the staff was extremely friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout the entire visit. The atmosphere was lovely as well, and the service absolutely outshone the food. With a bit more attention to seasoning and depth of flavor, this place could easily be fantastic."
